🎉 On the 89th anniversary of the founding of Kursk State Medical University (KSMU), the university clinic officially opened its doors. This is a luxury that only a little over a dozen medical universities in the country can afford, and now KSMU is among them.

👥 The opening ceremony of the university clinic was attended by Janitha A. Liyanage, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation, V. Flek, Assistant Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, E. Pismennaya, Minister of Health of the Kursk Region, E. Kharchenko, a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, representatives of the regional and city administration, as well as the leaders of healthcare institutions in the regional center and the Kursk Region.

💊 In the university clinic, patients not only receive treatment under the supervision of doctors and medical candidates using state-of-the-art equipment, but also contribute to the improvement of healthcare for future generations. By analyzing their clinical cases and observing experienced doctors treat their ailments, young physicians gain invaluable experience. The clinic is equipped with 16 classrooms.

💡 According to the Rector of KSMU, Professor V.A. Lazarenko, the clinic’s work will help preserve and develop the main tradition of domestic medical education – learning at the patient’s bedside. E. Pismennaya, the Minister of Health of the Kursk Region, noted that the university clinic of KSMU will be actively integrated into the region’s overall healthcare network.
