NATIONAL INDIAN HOLIDAY “DEEPAWALI”

On October 26, 2019 the concert dedicated to the celebration of Indian religious holiday “Deepawali” took place at the assembly hall of the hostel No.6 at the initiative of the Indian student community of Kursk state medical university and International friendship club.
“Deepawali” is the most important Indian celebration, which marks the triumph of good over evil, according to an ancient Indian epos. Deepawali is a holiday of family reunion, the victory of truth over lies, absolution. The history of this celebration is full of legends, which mostly relate to Hindu religious scriptures.
Students of the international faculty from India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka gathered together to celebrate this event. The atmosphere of the holiday was especially solemn, emphasizing the importance of the unity that day.
