On June 3, 2021 KSMU hosted the first international scientific and practical conference “Experience and Prospects for Export Potential Development of Educational Services in Higher Education”, which was organized by the International Medical Institute.

The conference was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the Administration of the Kursk region, Russian and foreign educational and scientific organizations. There were 429 participants in total.

The chairman of the conference, rector of KSMU, professor Viktor Anatolyevich Lazarenko, made a welcoming speech, emphasizing the relevance and necessity of implementing the May Decree of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin.

Deputy Governor of the Kursk Region Yuri Petrovich Knyazev noted the high level of the conference organization, richness of the program, the high quality of education and upbringing of KSMU students, who confirmed their competence during the pandemic.

Head of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education of the Department of Medical Education and Personnel Policy in Healthcare of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation Evgenia Vladimirovna Panasenko thanked Viktor Anatolyevich for organizing the international conference, noted the importance of discussing theoretical aspects and practical developments in the field of export of educational services. She also emphasized that KSMU is one of the leading medical institutions of higher education, which is well represented at the world level.

Abedalmawla Chehabeddine, head of the accreditation examinations committee of the Lebanese Ministry of Education, noted that KSMU is an excellent example for the countries of the East, where students receive quality medical education.

Director of the IMI KSMU Associate Professor Chahine Mohamad Toufic thanked everyone for their active participation in the conference, which made it possible to strengthen existing and establish new contacts in the field of developing the export of educational services, and also urged the conference participants to make their proposals to the draft resolution of the conference.

A collection of materials will be published summarizing the results of the conference.
