Dear students!
Respected teachers and colleagues!

From the bottom of my heart, I congratulate you on International Students’ Day — a celebration of solidarity, youth, and the pursuit of knowledge!

This day, observed on November 17, is filled with joy, energy, and hope. However, its history begins with the tragic events of World War II, when Czech students showed courage and unity in their struggle for freedom. Today, we honor their memory and continue the tradition of solidarity in peaceful times.

Student years are a unique period when the foundation for future professional achievements is laid, character is shaped, and true friendships are found. You gain not only knowledge but also invaluable experience that will help you become sought-after specialists and truly happy individuals. Remember: your life is in your own hands, and only you can fill it with meaning, joy, and accomplishment.

Medical students are a special pride of the university. You have chosen a path of service to people — a path of kindness, patience, and compassion. Your calling is to bring health and hope, which is why sincere empathy for patients must live in each of your hearts.

Even today, you demonstrate outstanding results in your studies, scientific work, sports, and social activities. You are proactive, talented, and determined, and within the walls of KSMU your civic and professional identity is being shaped.

I wish each of you success in your studies, strong health, inspiration, and faith in yourselves! May your energy and perseverance help you overcome any challenges.

I am confident that the future of Russian medicine is in reliable hands!

With respect and confidence in you,
V. A. Lazarenko
