On November 20, 2025, Kursk State Medical University (KSMU) warmly welcomed a distinguished delegation from Universitas Syiah Kuala (Indonesia). The International Medical Institute of KSMU organized a guided tour of the university campus for the guests.

The Indonesian delegation included:
• Vice-Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Public Relations of Universitas Syiah Kuala, Prof. Dr. Ir. Taufiq Saidi
• Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Strategic Cooperation, Prof. Safrizal Rahman
• Director of Planning and Partnerships, as well as Cooperation in Clinical Nutrition, Public Catering and Public Health, Dr. Iflan Naufal

The guests immersed themselves in the rich history and modern achievements of Russian medicine. They visited the Research Institute of KSMU, the anatomical theatre, and the Museum of KSMU History, experiencing the origins and evolution of medical science. Special interest was sparked by the university’s recreational areas, including Hippocrates Square and the Student Garden.

The visit of the Universitas Syiah Kuala delegation marks an important first step in strengthening international cooperation between the two universities in education, scientific research, and healthcare.
